La Margarita began at 30th and Georgetown in Speedway, then moved to 86th and Township Line in 1990.  Larry developed and perfected all of the recipes for La Margarita - many of which are his own "inventions", deemed authentic Mexican by him! (Based on the fact that he was an authentic Mexican!). Our menu has stood the test of time; many of our regular customers can echo that sentiment.  While we try to add new items from time to time and specials here and there: our core menu, Larry's menu will be our trademark forever.  Larry's untimely death on February 14, 2000, along with good friends Tony and Shirley Bettenhausen and Russ Roberts, has created an incredible void here at La Margarita.  We do believe he would want us to go on and to do so in his very "particular" way!  We are all determined to do our best and thank all of you regular, loyal patrons and you, our newest customers for helping us continue the tradition.

In 2006, we started a new era in our new location at 9435 N. Meridian St.  We still strive to provide our "usual" festive atmosphere and time-tested delicious menu!
